Grants & Funding

    • Each year, The Greenlight Project features a unique funding theme to guide grant priorities.

    • For the inaugural 2025–2026 grant cycle, the theme is “Bridging the Gap.”

    • Eligible nonprofits and organizations serving Northeastern Pennsylvania may apply for grants ranging from $500 to $8,000.

    • To qualify, applicants must clearly demonstrate how their work helps “bridge a gap” in the community — whether in access to education, healthcare, housing, opportunity, or support services. Applicants should also name a specific, tangible need that funding from The Greenlight Project would help fulfill.

    • The application portal is managed by the Luzerne Foundation and opens October 1, 2025, closing February 1, 2026.

  • Right now, The Greenlight Project is primarily focused on supporting nonprofits, emergency services, trade schools, and community colleges. If your organization falls outside those categories, we still encourage you to reach out. We are always eager to learn about meaningful efforts happening across Northeastern Pennsylvania.

  • To back the problem-solvers, the organizations and people who aren’t waiting for permission; they see what’s missing and are already working to fix it. The Greenlight Project is here to help those efforts get moving and make a real difference.
